Parklands United Football are pleased to introduce the return of our Summer 5's Competition for Junior and Youth teams at Parklands Reserve in term 1.

Dates: 

• Juniors (8th to 13th grade): Tuesday, 10th February 2026 to Tuesday, 17th March 2026 (24th March back up date in case of postponements)
• Youth (14th to 17th grade): Wednesday, 11th February 2026 to Wednesday, 18th March 2026 (25th March back up date in case of postponements)

Game Times: 

• 4:00pm - 7:00pm (final times confirmed after registrations)
• 12-18 minute halves - 2 minute half times (time to be confirmed depending on entry numbers)

Team Registration: Get your team together and complete the form below to register for Summer 5s Football – Term 1, 2026. Individual Registrations - Expression of Interest

• Interested in playing Summer 5's but don’t know of anyone else that is interested?
• Please complete the Expression of Interest form online at https://www.sporty.co.nz/viewform/390681 and we will help to try to pull together a team for you where we can.
• Where possible we will try to allocate players together based on their school as this may help with team dynamics, but this may not always be possible.
• Please note that for individual registrations Parklands United Sports Club will not provide a coach for the team. Our role in this will be to coordinate teams and then put parents in contact with each other to help coordinate a parent or two to help coach and manage the teams.
• In some situations we may be unable to place players in a team if there are insufficient numbers, but we will try to place the best we can.
   

Age Groups: These are based on the 2026 Winter Season age bands and will be dual age bands for the purpose of this competition. Players born in October, November, December of the previous year do not need dispensation to play down (as per Mainland Football regulations). For anyone else looking to play down an age group permission must be granted by the competition organisers

• 8th & 9th Grade (born 2017/2018)
• 10th & 11th Grade (born 2015/2016)
• 12th & 13th Grade (born 2013/2014)
• 14th & 15th Grade (born 2011/2012)
• 17th Grade (born 2009 to 2010)

Referees: We aim to be able to provide referees for this competition. These referees are likley to be youth players so please ensure that your team respects the referees. Parklands United will not accept abuse of the officials. If someone associated with your team is found to be in breach of this they may be asked to leave the competition.

If there is not a referee assigned to your teams game a parent or coach may be asked to cover the game.
